THE BIBLE

The Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God.

2 Tim. 3:16

All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for rebuking, for correcting, and for training in righteousness.

2 Peter 1:20-21

THE TRINITY

God exists eternally in three persons: the Father (creator), the Son (savior), and the Holy Spirit (comforter).

OUR SAVIOR⸻

JESUS CHRIST

Jesus is fully God and man. He came to earth, was conceived by the Virgin Mary, and led a sinless life. He died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins and rose from the dead to free all humanity from the power of sin and Satan. One day, he will return to complete the building of his Kingdom, where the righteous, who form the bride of Christ, will reign with him for eternity.

THE FALL OF HUMANITY

 

All human beings are sinners and need a saving relationship with God. A person becomes a child of God when they repent of their sin and place their faith in Jesus Christ for salvation and eternal life.

(Genesis 1:26,27; 3:1,24; Romans 3:25; 5:12-18; 1 John 1:8).

THE HOLY SPIRIT

The Holy Spirit continually draws believers to God in order to transform them into the likeness of Jesus Christ, equip them for ministry, and distribute spiritual gifts to the members of His Church. Believers should always desire to be filled with the Holy Spirit.

(John 16:5-15; Romans 8:16, 23, 26, 27; 1 Corinthians 12:1-31).

BAPTISM AND COMMUNION

Baptism and communion are the two ordinances that the Lord has given to his Church. The only form of baptism we practice is baptism by immersion.

(Baptism: Acts 2:38-41; Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 8:26-40; 10:47; 18:8; Romans 6:3-4. Communion: Acts 2:42-46; 1 Corinthians 11:23-29)

THE UNIVERSAL CHURCH

Although it expresses itself in various ways, there is only one Universal Church of Jesus Christ, composed of all believers who have received Jesus Christ as Savior. The primary role of the Church is to advance the Kingdom of God by making disciples for Jesus Christ.
